Volunteer opportunities

Our after-school program runs from September through May, five days a week. Our volunteers make the work of Homework Central possible. We rely on them to help students with their homework, engage them in skill-building exercises and enrichment activities, and celebrate their accomplishments. Consistency, patience, and caring are what make the difference for kids who are struggling in school.

Program sites are at Baywood, San Mateo Park, and Sunnybrae schools in San Mateo.

Can you spare two hours per week?

If you have two hours a week, you have the ability to make a difference for a student who needs help with school work.

Baywood:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 3 – 5 pm; Wednesday 1 – 3 pm.

Laurel, San Mateo Park, Sunnybrae:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 3 – 6 pm, and Wednesday 1 – 6 pm.
